Scheme of Entrance Examination

The following is the scheme of entrance examination: 

i)       The Entrance Examination will be for a duration of 2 hours and for a maximum of 100 marks with 100 questions. 

ii)      Questions will be of multiple-choice type. Optical Mark Reader (OMR) coding answer sheets will be supplied to the candidates.

 iii)      The Question paper will be divided into two parts A & B. Part A will test General English Comprehension, Logical and Analytical Reasoning , Educational and General Awareness and Teaching-Learning Practices in the School. Part B will test the subject competency for which the structure of the Question paper will be as detailed below:

*The test items will be based on the contents of the textbooks of IX to XII Classes ( State Board syllabus ) published by the    Tamil Nadu Textbook Corporation, Government of Tamil Nadu. 

iv)     The question paper for the Entrance Examination will be bilingual in Tamil and English. 

v)      The work of valuing the answer sheets of the Entrance Examination will be done centrally using OMR technology. 

The Date and Venue of Entrance Examinations 

The Entrance Examination will be held in important cities and at 5 B.Ed Programme Study Centres in Tamil Nadu from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, 09.01.2005.  The names and address of the Entrance Examination Centres are given in the Annexure II. 

The Admit Cards/Hall-tickets will be sent to the eligible candidates by the University directly.  The decision of the University on eligibility to appear for Entrance Examination will be final.
