Objectives of the B.Ed. Programme AIM The B.Ed. Distance Education Programme aims at enabling the in-service teachers to acquire appropriate knowledge, understanding and skills relating to modern methods of teaching/learning processes and develop a role-perception to play the role of a teacher effectively and efficiently as an agent of social change in the 21st century. OBJECTIVES The basic objectives of B.Ed programme is to open a channel of admission to the in-service untrained teacher in the State. The Programme aims at: § strengthening the teaching competency of in-service/untrained teachers, especially in Tamil Nadu. § developing a new understanding among teachers about various methods and approaches in organizing learning experiences for secondary school students. § giving a systematic exposure to the working teachers about the various procedures and techniques of evaluation and their classroom application. § strengthening the skills of teachers in their classroom and school management. § developing new skills required for teachers in organizing instructional and student-support activities. § enabling the working teachers to understand their social roles and functions in the emerging society, with special reference to Tamil Nadu. |
