Persons
who have discontinued their studies for various reasons can approach TNOU
to carry forward the credits they may have accumulated earlier and
complete the Programme.

Appropriate
authorities of the University will screen the lateral entry applications
on a case-by-case basis, ascertaining the equivalence of the syllabi,
etc., before a decision regarding registration is made.

Persons holding a
Bachelor’s degree and have completed Postgraduate Diploma in Computer
Applications (PGDCA) will be exempted from the first year of the
University’s Master of Computer Applications (MCA).

Persons holding a
Diploma in Computer Applications will be exempted from the first year of
the University’s Bachelor’s in Computer Applications (BCA).

Persons holding
Diploma in Commercial Practice (from a recognized Polytechnic) will be
exempted from the first year of the University’s Bachelor’s in Commerce (B.Com).

Persons who have
completed 10 years of schooling and a three year diploma are exempted from
the University’s Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme (BPP).

On-campus students
can simultaneously pursue a Programme at the TNOU, if they satisfy the
eligibility criteria.

Persons can opt for
two Programmes at TNOU. However, the University is not liable for any
clashes in examination/counselling schedules. In other words, though
provisions are available for dual entry, students should use their
discretion.

Until the
applications for later entry and dual registration are cleared in all
respects, the candidates will be provided with provisional admissions.

Suppose such
applications do not succeed, the candidates will be refunded the fees
paid, after deducting nominal administrative charges.
